The Costa del Sol is sometimes called the ‘Costa del Golf’ because its climate, natural scenery, views, courses and amenities make it one the finest centres of golf in the world. Location
The setting of the Golf Valley could not be better, for it is located just inland from the famous marina of Puerto Banús, within minutes of both Marbella town to the east and the charming little town of San Pedro de Alcántara to the west. Geographically, Nueva Andalucía – named after an erstwhile farming estate – occupies a lush green valley bounded on the west by a little rise and on the north by the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja mountain range.

Nueva Andalucía has the Golf Valley at its heart because it is home to four leading golf courses, three of which belong to the golfing elite of the Costa del Sol, and indeed Europe. La Dama de Noche
Designed by Enrique Canales, this iconic 9-hole, par-72 course was first inaugurated in 1991. Situated in a mostly level parkland landscape, it is a comfortable course to play, with long tree-lines fairways and the unique chance to enjoy a night game – the only golf club on the Costa del Sol to offer this. With children’s coaching and footgolf for those who like to mix two classic sports, La Dama de Noche is above all a fun golf club.
Aloha Golf Club
Designed by Javier Arena and opened in 1975, Aloha is one of the classic golf clubs of Marbella. Indeed, the many views it offers across the fairways to La Concha Mountain are truly iconic of golf in Nueva Andalucía. The 18-hole, par-72 course is a delight, flanked by lush vegetation to create a championship competition environment and an idyllic setting for the pretty Nueva Andalucía apartments, townhouses and villas that border it. In spite of its lofty credentials, Aloha Golf Club is also one of the friendliest golf clubs in Marbella.
Real Club de Golf Las Brisas
This venerated golf club with the royal appellation was designed by none other than Robert Trent Jones all the way back in 1968. The 18-hole, par-72 championship course ranks among the very best on the Costa del Sol and is known for the gorgeous subtropical vegetation and rare species you will spot while playing. Once again, Marbella’s La Concha Mountain forms a majestic backdrop, complemented by sea and mountain views. The luxury Las Brisas villas and apartments neighbouring the club mirror its prestigious status.
Los Naranjos Golf
Also designed by Robert Trent Jones, this 18-hole, par-72 course first entered use in 1977. It has since become a classic, one of the three courses that the Nueva Andalucía Golf Valley was built upon. Situated to the north-western edge of Nueva Andalucía, the terrain here is a little more undulating, the views just as stunning and the mountain scenery closer by. Discreetly following its contours are mostly modern Los Naranjos villas, with a selection of luxury apartments nearby. The stylish clubhouse, designed by architect Marcos Sainz, is a local social hub with excellent facilities, including a good restaurant and panoramic terrace deck.
Amenities and properties
Though it is home to the Golf Valley, Nueva Andalucía has lots more to offer, including tennis and paddle clubs, hiking in the nearby hills, shops, the international Aloha College, a lively social scene concentrated at its many restaurants, cafés and nightlife spots, and peaceful residential areas just made for family life.
A great many of the homes here, be they villas or apartments, mingle sea and mountain views with overlooking the lush fairways.
